ABOUT DET 1257

Det 1257 meets each month on the second Tuesday at the American Legion Hall – Post #187 (225 E Holding Ave, Wake Forest, NC 27587).  Dinner is at 6pm, with the meeting starting at 7pm.  Det 1257 is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, tax ID 03-0612881.

Members of Det 1257 join in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of promoting the Marine Corps, its history, and traditions; strengthening the fraternity of Marines; serving the local community, as well as Marines and FMF Navy personnel (active, reserve, retired, and veterans); and fostering ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism.

Membership requirements include: Marines who have served honorably on active duty for 90 days+ (or the Reserve with 90+ points) ninety (90) Reserve), and U.S. Navy FMF Sailors (with the FMF Device or FMF Ribbon).  Also, Associate Membership is open to supporters who do not qualify for regular membership but support the organization’s goals.
